The LED display will be utilized during the conference to display examples of first-class digital installations in the retail space, and dynamic data like social feeds (#IRDC2017) and real-time voting results for the conference's very popular Iron Merchant Challenge.

3:00 – 5:00 PM – NOLA Self-Guided Inspiration Tours #IRDC2017

The IRDC 2017 program schedule allows attendees to spend a few hours exploring the city of New Orleans. Venture out on your own or with a group of friends, guide book in hand, and check out one of four districts that are conveniently located near The Ritz-Carlton:

  • The French Quarter
  • The Warehouse/Arts District
  • Magazine Street
  • The Garden District

*Wear your orange sunglasses (found inside the attendee bag) and take a few selfies on your tour. With Reflect’s social media app, user-generated posts will be curated and populated on digital screens at the show. Post your pictures to social media (Instagram & Twitter) with #IRDC2017 for a chance to see your personal post appear!

6:00 – 8:00 PM - Iron Merchant Challenge / Cocktail Reception

The annual Iron Merchant visual merchandising challenge (now in its 12th year) is a mashup of improvisation, performance art, and design science – plus one secret ingredient to shake things up! Team spirit and audience participation add to the excitement. There will be plenty of flexing of design muscles and clinking of cocktail glasses.

SMS Voting Campaign Sponsor

New this year, attendees will cast their vote for the Iron Merchant Challenge via an SMS Text Campaign. Vote for your favorite team by text and watch the results in real-time displayed on digital screens at the conference. Is your favorite team falling behind?
